Gabriel R. Carucci 85, most recently of White Plains, N.Y. and formerly of Yonkers and Mt.Vernon, N.Y. died on March 17, 2010 at White Plains Hospital Center. He was born on Sept.7, 1924 to the late Isaia and Mary (nee Mazucca) Carucci in NYC. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. Gabe along with his father and brothers ran several successful Food Markets in Mt.Vernon, N.Y. He was known for his wit, humor and charming personality. He is survived by his devoted wife Lucia (nee Mangieri) Carucci of White Plains, N.Y. His loving children; Raymond Carucci of New Baltimore, N.Y. Thomas Carucci and his wife Patricia of New Castle, N.Y. and Gabrielle Ferrari and her husband Carl of Mohegan Lake, N.Y. 2 brothers Isaia (Gloria) Carucci of Kingston, N.Y. and Raymond (Helen) Carucci of Plainfield, ILL. 1 sister Theresa (Edward) Poulsen of Vero Beach, Fla. Brother in law of Anne Carucci of Branford, Conn. Also survived by 5 cherished grandchildren; Debra, Tara Carucci, Carly, Thomas and Paige Ferrari and 2 step grandchildren Sara and Meghan Shenefield. Predeceased by 1 brother Enrico Carucci. Reposing, Hawthorne Funeral Home on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Mass, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Shrub Oak, N.Y. on Monday 11 AM. Entombment, Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, N.Y.
