Eugene Jerzyk

TURNERS FALLS- Eugene Jerzyk, 82, of Turners Falls, died Sunday November 13, 2011 at the Center For Extended Care in Amherst. Eugene was born in Holyoke, son of the late John and Agnes (Kapinos) Jirzyk and was educated in Holyoke Schools. He was a Teamsters truck driver for many years and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Marine Corps and with the Merchant Marines. Eugene was a member of the Short Wing Piper Club. He is survived by three sons: John and his wife Pamela, of Granby, Jim and his wife Marianne, of Lakewood Ranch, FL, and Joe and his wife Doris, of Chicopee. He also leaves his five grandchildren Jack, Becki, Amy, Adam and Matthew. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 9:00am in Our Lady of the Valley Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton, MA followed by burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eugene's memory to the Massachusetts Wildlife Federation, P.O. Box 188 Concord, MA 01742. Barry J.
