Rev. Ronald Wayne Mollette, Sr., 67, of the 700 block of Denver Ave., Chesapeake, VA, passed away February 28, 2012, in Chesapeake Regional Hospital. A native of Roanoke, VA, he was a Custodian with the Chesapeake School System. He was a Navy veteran of Vietnam. He was predeceased by his father, David M. Mollette. He is survived by his wife, Anna M. Mollette; his mother, Dora H. Terry of Roanoke, VA; his son, Ronald Wayne Mollette, Jr. and wife Paula of Chesapeake, VA; three daughters, Sandra Mollette and fiancé Joseph of Norfolk, VA, Annette Schmidt and husband Christopher of Chesapeake, VA and Melinda Knight and husband Michael of Elizabeth City, NC; two sisters, Emma Jean Dickerson of Christiansburg, VA and Diane Akers of Roanoke, VA; two brothers, David Mollette of Shawsville, VA and Michael Mollette of Roanoke, VA; and nine grandchildren, Ronald III, Cody Mollette, Haley, John and Erik Knight, and Mallory, Ciara, Christian and Samuel Schmidt. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens with Pastor Archie Callahan officiating.
