Mr. Lorenzo Charles, 47, of Wake Forest, NC passed away on June 27, 2011 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC.
Mr. Charles was born Nov. 25, 1963 to Herman & Silvia Teresa Charles in Queens, NY. He was a former North Carolina State basketball player. As a member of the 1983 NCAA Championship team, he scored the winning basket for which he is remembered and still
talked about.
Funeral services will be held Saturday July 2, at Wake Chapel Baptist Church, 3805 Tarheel Club Rd. Raleigh NC.There will be a viewing from 10AM to 11 AM and the funeral will begin at 11AM. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh, NC.
