George William Thomas, 64, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Hubbard Hospice House West.
George was the son of the late Joe and Wilma Thomas. He was born and raised in Charleston. He graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School in 1965, attended WVU and received his college degree from WV State. He also served his country with the US Army in Vietnam.
He worked for several years with the Kroger Co. and finished his working years with the WV Dept. of Health and Human Resources.
He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and John Wanner, 2 step nieces, several cousins and 3 Aunts.
Family suggests donations to Hubbard Hospice House 1606 Kanawha Blvd. West, Charleston, WV 25387-2536
Visitation will be Saturday April 28, 2012 from 10am-Noon at Bartlett-Burdette-Cox Funeral Home. Immediately after visitation we will proceed to Floral Hills Cemetery where there will be a graveside service with Pastor Jim Phillips officiating.
