Diane Lamb
Diane Jeanne Lamb, 72, of Fairmont passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Arbors at Fairmont Nursing Center.
She was born in Point Marion, PA on September 30, 1939, daughter of the late Neuma Mark and Alberda (Pearson) Fabre.
Diane was an office manager, retiring from Concrete Accessories in Charleston, SC. She had also worked as an Estee Lauder consultant at Jones Department Store. She was a 1958 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School and a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a devoted Catholic by Faith and associated with St. Peter the Fisherman Roman Catholic Church, where she sang in the choir.
She was a wonderful mother and led a very active life before becoming ill. She truly loved her family, friends and life.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Haymond- Key of Bridgeport and Tamara Tarrance and her husband Richard of Charleston, SC, and two grandchildren, Nicole Haymond - Puccio and her husband Larry II of Fairmont and Richard S. Tarrance II of Charleston, SC.
Also surviving is her brother, Donald "Pete" Fabre and his wife Billie of Longview, TX, one niece, Lisa Price and her husband Mick and their son Zack of Dover, DE, several cousins, including John and Kathy Nigh of Fairmont and life-long friend, Frances Thobois of Fairmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Hayhurst and a nephew, Joe Fabre.
In keeping with the wishes of the deceased, her body will be cremated.
A memorial mass will be held at St. Peter the Fisherman Roman Catholic Church, 407 Jackson St. Fairmont, at 10 am on Monday, May 14, 2012 with Fr. Robert Perriello officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery in Fairmont.
Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St. Fairmont has been entrusted with arrangements.
