I hadn't thought of your father for many years, but I recall him fondly. In the early 80's he and I played on an instructional 4some at the Wildwood Racquet Club on the southwest side of Fort Wayne. He was older than us young pups but he was always hustling around the court and quick with a joke. He definitely was a character and enjoyed life to the fullest! Here's to a great life. Thanks for the memories, Courtney!

I so sorry to hear of Uncle Courtney's passing. I just found out yesterday. I haven't seen him for a long time. I am Neal Lubbes'daughter. Uncle Courtney came to visit my father when I was in high school and again when dad got really sick I called Uncle Courtney several years ago when I was at a crossroad in my life.We talked for quite awhile.I always remember his friendliness and he made me feel like family. Susie and Jill, I remember your dad with fondness. From a former babysitter, back when you were young enough to need one, and I was young enough to do that.

The world has lost a precious gem with Uncle Court's passing. My mother and he were always very close. Court use to tell me that people always thought they were twins when they were children. I will always remember him as loving, kind, and vivacious. He could always make me smile. Uncle Courtney loved to play his fiddle and I know that he is playing beautiful music in heaven now.

For several years, Courtney played his violin at Good Shepherd for worship services. It was always a pleasure to have him share his love of music and his Christian faith through a simple and elegant hymn presentation. May God bless you during this time of loss.

What a great picture of your father and father-in-law! He sounds like he was a wonderful man. I'm sure you miss him and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
