Tomorrow, Nov. 12th 2011, will be the 2 year anniversary of your passing. I came to this site by accident looking for something else. What a coincidence. I started reading all the memories, and feeling very sad. I miss you very much and think of you often. As the days go by, I miss you more and more. Our son Sam got married to Marcie, and I know you were there. I'm so glad you got to meet her before

Aunt Rose, thank you for the opportunity to express my sorry for the loss of your husband U Dave was known to most of us, was truely a great guy...As an ex brother in law, I ate a lot of meals with Uncle Dave at the Romano's house on Oak...When I first came into the family Uncle Dave treated me like a brother, instant family, instant friend, instant bonding...When he greeted you it was like he wanted to hear everything
Aunt Rose, thank you for the opportunity to express my sorry for the loss of your husband U Dave was known to most of us, was truely a great guy...As an ex brother in law, I ate a lot of meals with Uncle Dave at the Romano's house on Oak...When I first came into the family Uncle Dave treated me like a brother, instant family, instant friend, instant bonding...When he greeted you it was like he wanted to hear everything you had to say, and he was very interested in all...He was a Man's Man, he never meet a person he didnt like...In my 63yrs of life you meet a lot of people, but only about 5 that you can say were very special to be with, and he was one...I only regret I didn't take the opportunity to tell him the last time we meet...He will always be one person I want to see again...
Few Memories: When I came into the family you learned that from time to time a large dinner was served at the Romano's on Oak Street, and you better be there....Well when it came to sitting there was a certain chain of command, meaning with 2 or 3 tables side by side, all sat at the table, but by rank, and if you had male children, you sat near or at the end of the table, so with Uncle Dave having 5 boys he knew where he sat, and when I came in we had a son, Scott, so I sat with Uncle David....But when my daughter Cheryl was born(first granddaughter in the family) well I moved all the way to the head table, wow you could write a book all the comments I got from Uncle Dave, all in fun, but it was fun...Of Course, when (Douglas) was born I moved right back next to Uncle Dave...
When all the boys were swimming in the back yard there were times Uncle Dave had to get up from under the fig tree and go get in one of his kids face, he would yell and threaten them with death, but in walking back to me, he would be laughing all the way, you just loved that guy.
I coached/managed most likely about 40 different times, president of leagues, etc while my kids were growing up, but Uncle Dave gave me my first coaching job, helping him coach Lenord in baseball, still have the team picture of us all....he was great to coach with, great times...
Aunt Rose, I still have a hard time calling you Rose, just like Uncle Dave, I respected him so much, that Dave just did not seem proper..He is and will always be a very special person to me and especially to my children (Cheryl, Douglas and Ashlie) they also have bonded with him...He is Cheryl's Godfather and he has always been there for her....Sometimes I look back at events and only wish that I could have the attitude Uncle Dave had, so easy going, making noisy, but laughing under his breathe..
I look forward to being with him again, God Bless you Aunt Rose.

My Uncle Dave was AMAZING! When there was a special event our family gathering, there was never a question if Aunt Rose and Uncle Dave would be there. Searhing my memories, I don't remember one that they were not at. The thing I keep thinking about the most was that everytime I walked into the TV room to greet him, he would smile and say "Hi Kid!" Usually having to greet Buttons right after because she was sitting on his lap. When my mom turned 60, I planned a surprise party for my mom by myself. Aunt Rose and Mark were in Colorado and Aunt Cathie in Mexico, so it was up to me. Well, I recruited Uncle Dave. Although he grumbled and complained the whole time, He chipped in and relaxed after I made him a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. My Uncle Dave was my favorite Uncle with such an amazing heart and personality. Always telling jokes and making us laugh. He didn't like to see any of us upset. I can still hear him yelling at Mark for whatever reason...I think he did it just because it bugged Mark so.... Once when Mark and I were out back talking and enjoying the 80 degree weather, he came outside in 3 layers of clothing and a scarf to sit in the sun. He looked at me and said I don't know how your wearing a tank top it's freeezing! lol I love you Uncle Dave! You will never be far from my thoughts and I know that you are enjoying being with David again... Send a smile down to me every once in awhile will ya Kid?

Yesterday, Dec. 1, on your birthday, as we delivered your ashes to the sea, at least 20 porpoises circled your wreath of flowers and stayed by you for the longest time. Circling, Jumping, swimming under the boat. The Captain said he had never seen anything like that, especially their coming close to the boat. So, we have affirmation that you are a child of God, lived a good life and was a man of the sea.
Sleep well, David, and remember us as you reside in heaven with the rest of our family.
Love
Cathie

Sorry to hear of the passing of Dave Brezarich class of 1951 Scott High School.
I often wondered about Dave, being a classmate and a former shipmate of his.We spent some time together on the same ship (USS Pittsburgh CA 72) but different divisions.
A fun loving classmate & shipmate,he will be missed.
His celebration of life web site cleared up my wondering of Dave, glad to see he had such a wonderful and loving family.
Condolences to the Brezarich family. john Thomas

Uncle Dave, I heard you singing just now. I left adding photos to your tribute page and as I made dinner for the kids I heard, "Oh, Dear, what can the matter be? Seven old ladies were locked in the lavat'ry. They were there from Sunday til Saturday. Nobody knew they were there!" Miss you........
