Elaine C. Haney

President

An Internet veteran with a strong history of building world class brands in online directory and web 2.0 community, Haney brings more than 20 years of experience in operational leadership, marketing and product management to the Tributes business.

Haney comes to Tributes from Eons where she held several positions through its initial stages of growth. Originally joining the Company as SVP of Product, she played a key leadership role in building out the Eons product, design and editorial teams and guiding the launch of the Eons.com website. Following the launch of Eons.com, Haney and a small team explored and prototyped a number of offline offerings including a membership program, a credit card and rewards program, and an Eons magazine. Most recently she has been responsible for Marketing and Sales Operations, driving the growth of Eons.com and the Eons brand.

Haney came to Eons from Bluestreak where she led product management, overseeing their integrated marketing platform, along with Bluestreak's marketing services organization, including search engine marketing. Prior to Bluestreak, Haney was general manager of Switchboard (an InfoSpace company), responsible for overseeing Switchboard's online directory platform, which powers the yellow and white pages of many major Internet destinations; their popular consumer destination Switchboard.com; the website's local search advertising products; and the company's extensive channel of advertising and platform partners. Haney was one of three original executives of the company, taking Switchboard from an Internet spin-off to a profitable, publicly-traded company and finally to a successfully acquired entity. Prior to her general manager role, Haney served as Vice President of Marketing and Operations, building the marketing organization from the ground up and handling comprehensive aspects of product management, product marketing and corporate marketing including TV, radio and Internet advertising, thus building Switchboard into a major Internet brand. Haney's prior experience at Banyan Worldwide enabled her to gain program management, product management and product marketing skills.

Haney attended Lesley College and the University of Massachusetts and has served as an active mentor within the Babson College Women's Leadership Program. She holds an advanced degree in management and a B.S. degree in computer science.
