My Husband
On 6/28/09 my husband of 23 years died of Leukemia and Pneumonia after being in the Hospital since April. He battled lymphoma for 7 years and had two stem cell transplants, the second was from a non-related donor. His Leukemia developed from the treatment of the Lymphoma. In April of 2008 he lost his eye sight from a severe infection. The Doctors never told us he could lose his eye sight or develop a secondary cancer. He was part of my life for 29 years. We had no children and very little family. I feel I lost my entire life when he died. I am receiving Grief counseling once a week from Compassionate Care Hospice.
