First, you must locate the death record for your loved one in our database by using our search that is located on the Tributes homepage, or by clicking the Search button in the navigation panel towards the top of the screen.
How To Create a Tribute
Create a meaningful, engaging, lasting tribute for your loved one.
A Tribute gives family members and friends the opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one by telling their story. This guide will walk you through the steps of creating a robust tribute. For tips on what to include, please read What to write in an Obituary or Tribute.
Let’s get started.

Enter in the name of the person you are trying to locate and designate the timeframe of their death and click Search.
(If you’re not sure of the time of death, select ALL)

Locate the person you are searching for and click on their name.
If you cannot find a matching record in the search results, please send us an email at support@tributes.com so we can add a record to the site. Please be sure to provide us with the following: Full name, date of birth, date of death, last place of residence.

You will then be taken to the selection page where you may choose the type of tribute that you would like to create and view the differences of the different packages.

Once you have made your selection you will then be prompted to login or create an account. If you have a Tributes account, enter your log-in information. If you are not a member, you will need to go through the registration process.
Once registered and/or logged-in, you will be taken directly to the tribute creation wizard where you will enter your text and upload photos.

You will begin at the Personal Information
tab where you will be able to edit and add to the information about the loved one who you are creating the tribute for.
Please Note: any of the original text of the death notice that you edit or delete will be permanently altered and replaced with your changes.

Be sure when you complete a section in the Wizard, that you click Save
at the bottom of the page to save your work if you wish to skip between tabs. Clicking Continue
will save your work and take you to the next tab.
You may preview your tribute at any time by clicking on the Preview
button at the top of the wizard.

To add photos and create a slideshow select Browse
in the Photo Tab of the wizard. Select the photo file you wish to upload, enter in a description to go along with the photo and click Add Photo
.
You will see your photos added into the Manage Photos area as you scroll down the page of the Photo Tab. Here you are able to set the primary photo of the your tribute that is displayed in the search results section, select to photo order of the slideshow by dragging and dropping each photo, and updating any changes you would like to make.

Once you have completed your tribute (please note, you can add as much or as little as you like) click I’m finished
in the top tab bar and you will be taken to a confirmation page where you will be given the link to your tribute. Click on the link and you will be able to view your Live
tribute that is now available for all to view at tributes.com

Once your tribute is complete you can easily share it with friends and family by clicking the Email to Friends and Family
button. Add in the email addresses of the people you would like to send your tribute to, enter a subject line, personalize your email, and send. An email will be sent to your recipients with a direct link back to the tribute you have created.

Return as often as you like to add more content and photos, or to read new memory journal postings left by people who have viewed the tribute you created.

If you would like to view the tributes you have created, click on your Email Address
in the top navigation bar to access your My Account
page. From there, click on My Tributes
in the left-hand navigation. This will allow you to access the wizard and edit all of the tributes you have created.

Email Alerts are available for
Locations, families, schools and military service.
