Ray Voorhees , 63, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at his home in Huntertown. Born in Washington , IL, Ray worked as a salesman with MacDonald Machinery for 29 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of Praise Lutheran Church. Ray enjoyed fixing things, woodworking and loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his loving wife of 42 years Mary Voorhees of Huntertown, mother, Selma S. Voorhees of Eureka, IL, sons, Jeffrey L. (Melissa) Voorhees of Westerville, OH and Nicholas C. (Erica Marti) Voorhees of Las Vegas, NV, grandchildren, Evelyn and Job, sisters, Connie (Larry) Goldberg of Buffalo Grove, IL and Anna (Randall) Lundgren of Archer, FL and brother, Eldon Voorhees of Eureka, IL. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Louis Voorhees, brother, Delmar Voorhees and nephew, Philip Hunter. Service is 11 a.m. Thursday at Praise Lutheran Church, 1115 W. Dupont Road with calling 1 hour prior. Calling also 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road.
