"The world lost a magnificant man! I met Dr. Koop many years ago on St. Simons Island thru his daughter Betsy. He gave me some of the best advice I have ever had. I was nervous when meeting him, the Surgeon General of the United States .. but he made me feel like he had known me for years. I will never forget the moment I met him. My condolences to the family, especially Betsy. Memories are forever. God Bless the entire familly. RIP Dr. Koop!"

"To the family of C.Everett Koop;
What a great man God blessed us with in Dr. Koop. His influences were felt globally, yet his humility was inspiring. I am thankful for how he and his first wife Elizabeth mentored and cared for my parents Bill and Vickie Allen when they were living in Philadelphia and attending 10th Presbyterian Church. They were there standing with my parents when I was baptized all those years ago. And their relationship over the years was a blessing to us and our family. "Uncle Chick" was a great man and he now I'm sure is basking in the glory of Our Father's Kingdom. Someday I look forward to seeing him, and my parents there with him...
May God bless his family and hold them up in His arms as they go forward."
