"First impressions!!! When he arrived at Clemson as a freshman, he dazzled so many people... I knew he was special.

They ran timed 40-yd dashs inside Littlejohn Coliseum. Chester came by me while I stood inside one of the tunnels... it could only be described as the way you feel standing on the side of the interstate when a tractor-trailer blows by you at 65 mph. The rush of wind and thankfulness you did not get run over. A big man to move that fast was simply amazing.

Off the field, he was a gentle giant who always made you feel welcome.
