"Does any other fan feel as if this is a personal loss? I have been a fan all of my life, it seems. Springsteen's songs are the soundtrack of my life, Clarence and his sax were an iconic part of that sound. Always,I'd hear that unmistakable sound,as soul refreshing as a cool breeze on a hot day,it would lift me up. It's unbelievable, that he will never make those sweet sounds again, in this life.
As a worker in a long term care facility, I witness the indignities of stroke victims every day...I'm so glad he does not have to suffer through that. I'm glad he's out of pain. But I am beyond sad for his family, for Bruce and the Band, for his fans,.
Rock on Big Man. You are loved and missed.."

"June 22nd was my 48th birthday. I literally missed my birthday because I was/am so heart broken over the loss of the "Big Man". Since then I've been sitting my 18 year old son down to watch DVD's and explain to him how tragic is this loss...but to revel in the glory of watching him perform aside of Bruce and the E. Steet Band. I miss him dearly....I'm a Jersey girl who has been memorizing words to songs for well over 30 years.
I'm stunned...still can't believe the loss.
God Bless you Clarence......and many thanks for your kindness over many years at the Jersey shore.
My sincerest condolences to your family, friends and Bruce and the E. Street Band.

"Clarence was an extremely talented sax player. He was so close to his band members. The E Street band will be missing a real important piece of history. We will miss the "Big Man". I feel for the band members losing 2 of their dear friends and band memebers so close together. Play your sax in Heaven Big Man for all the angels. My sincerest condolences to Bruce and the E Street members."

If there's a rock n' roll heaven, then you know they've got a hell of a band!
RIP big man. You helped make the world a better place."
