"I loved Lady Ella. Never will forget seeing her with Duke Ellington and his band. Great show."

"Unconventional women don't often fit into more conventional sizes. Instead, they are faced with the chngleale of finding comfortable and stylish plus size women's clothing. By and large, most store refuse to stock sizes in excess of a size 14 or 16. This means they have to find the clothes they need in specialty store that can be very expensive. What then is a plus size woman to do? She has to do her research and find the places, both online and off, that will accommodate her wardrobe"
"Just a quick Ella story from a fellow jazz lover aronud 10 years ago I obtained a set of vintage 78 RPM records, something I collect quite diligently (currently I have aronud 1600 plus 2 vintage phonographs), and bought one with Ray Brown performing on it. He was Ella's second husband and her life-long friend. To my TOTAL surprise he was performing that SAME NIGHT here in the Twin Cities, so I trotted over to the jazz club where he was at and had him sign the cover of this set of records from the late 1940s on the same day I purchased it. He passed away one or maybe two years later. But it was pretty cool to meet him and for him to be gracious enough to allow me to interrupt his dinner to do so.That entire generation of jazz evolution from Dixieland to swing, bop to cool and on to modern was amazing and unequaled in many ways. That was when jazz truly came into its own as America's most orignal and lasting music, I think. May Ella and Ray rest in peace! Thanks for sharing this song, Kim."

"You were a terrific lady, a wonderful human being and one of the world's greatest singers. You are truly missed. Rest In Peace, Miss Ella."
