"Thank you for your Service, paving the way for those who came after you.
Young pilots, who soar now, will be ever grateful for your path to the sky.
Peace be with you, Mr. Hickman."

"I attended George's celebration of life. I found that he who walks in Jesus"s steps will repeat history. "The stone that the builders rejected has become the corner stone." To witness the large mass of people that could attend this celebration was overwhelming. To read the many tributes from people all the country is astounding. George, you turned a negative into a positive and left a lasting impression on many lives. The University of Washington capped it off and will put a picture of him where he stood greeting the team and coaches. (It just happens to be in the northwest 'corner' of the pavilion) Your memory shall live on and touch many more lives in years to come. Thank you George, for being the inspiration you are. Peace be with you."

"What a great service you did for your country and had to deal with being mistreated by scoundrels who did not appreciate it. Thank You For All You Did. There is another Airman that lives about 80 miles from me in Belmont Ca. May God Bless the family and you have all of my sympathy on the loss of a brave man. Mr George Hickman"
