"I give condolences to the Ferraro - Zaccaro family on the death of Geraldine Ferraro. I first saw her brilliance at platform hearings in Washington, D.C. in 1984 and told Walter Mondale's staff before his decision that I wanted either her or Lloyd Bentsen to get the Vice Presidential nomination. I often saw Geraldine Ferraro at Chicago rallies and events in 1984 after I returned to my parents' home in Riverdale to start 20 years in the Chicago area and in 1990 she remembered my issues papers for Alison Doyle on her staff on U.S.-Japanese trade and Africa. With respect to Facebook, I'd rather also send this tribute to Democratic National Committee. Thanks."
