"Growing up in Minneapolis, we all would stride to the plate either in little league or playing wiffle ball in the backyard and suddenly, we became Harmon Killebrew. With the bat on our shoulder until the pitch was delivered, then we would hammer it out of the park. He was my hero growing up, and I will never forget those towering blasts at the Met! He was such a class act and a great ambassedor for the game of baseball. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts and prayers go to Nita and the family. Rest in peace, Harmon! Go #3!!!!!!!!"
