"On a perdu le plus grand boxer de tous les temps.Je n'ai jamais vu une personne aussi forte et determiner a gagner que Joe. Une personne d'une grande beauté et avec un coeur enorme. Le monde ne la pas reconnu comme il le devait pour ses qualités de boxer car c'est le meilleur.J'espere qu'il a été heureux dans sa vie et qu'il repose en paix.Mes condoléances a sa famille ! Je t'aime a jamais Smokin'Joe FRAZIER ."

"I'm thankful Joe never had to fight Jon Nee or Scott Tripp in Kansas City, Missouri. Someone would have gotten hurt... Bless you Joe."

"My first meeting with Joe was at Jacob Chandlers funeral home, and with Bishop Paul C. Brown of Solomon Temple Baptist Church, here in Philadelphia Pa. Mr. Chandler and Smoke (as he was affectionately called) was the best of friends. Mr. Chandler introduced me to Joe and said that I was a big fan of Muhammad Ali. Joe started to walk towards me and say, “You sort of look like Ali”. I backed up for fear that Joe would have a flash back. But I soon found out that Joe was a kidder. He had a laugh and a voice although coarse was very friendly. I later thought to myself, what I should have said was “I don’t float like a butterfly nor do I sting like a bee, please Joe Frazer don’t hit me”. With love and affection for this man. I thank God for allowing me to be in his presence if only for a moment in time. He will surely be missed and let it be known that it was Joe Frazier that won the Gold medal in the Olympics for the heavy weight division. May God bless his family and know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. In His Love Minister Ron Gayle Sr."
