Condolence & Memory Journal

We're so sad to hear about Frankie's passing. I was trying to locate him so we could reconnect after many many years. Glen played for the Bulls during the early 80s and Frankie was a faithful fan and friend to us. We're coming to visit Durham this summer for the first time since we left baseball and were excited to see our old friend.......the Bulls game we are going to will definitely be missing a wonderful person in the stands. Our prayers are with Frankie's family and loved ones.

I played for the Bulls in the early 80's and remember Frankie with great fondness. He even came to a team party to play the piano for us and it was a night we will never forget. So sorry to hear of his passing but my memories of him will always bring a smile to my face.

this is such a shock to me...i just now found out. years ago my husband and ronald (frankie's brother) played fastpitch. i kept score...along with frankie! if i missed something he could tell me whether the umpire called a ball or strike. as soon as a ball was hit he could tell me what direction it was hit...amazing! my prayers will be with the whole family during this trying time!! God bless you.

I shared so much with Frankie at the Durham Bulls--on Saturday he would come early so he could sit and talk with me. I will miss him so much. My prayers are with his family at this time.

Uncle Frank, I can not tell you how shocked and saddened I am to learn that Frankie has left us. It is too soon. He has been such a constant in my life. And such an amazement. His joy and fun in life. His independent living. And, most especially when I was young, his ability to know all of us by voice. Wow!

Your plate has been filled to over-flowing of late. I know you have all the strength you need to handle these trying times. I just want you to know that Jimmy and I are sending you our condolences, our admiration and more love than you may know.

With all our love,

Brenda & Jimmy Russell
