Tribute & Message From The Family

Annie Mae Petrie Tennyson, 78, of Spartanburg, SC, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at RoseCrest. Born February 11, 1936, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Russell Edwin Petrie and Maggie Mae Grant Petrie, and the widow of Boyce Ray Tennyson.

Mrs. Tennyson was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was retired from CWS Insurance.

Survivors include her children, Shelby T. Arrington of Inman, Joe Tennyson of Chesnee, SC, and Rhonda T. Norris (Byrd) of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond C. Petrie of Whitestone, SC; and her baby dog, "Brandi". In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Aline P. O'Bryant; and daughter-in-law, Susan Lynn Hall Tennyson.

Visitation will be 2:30-3:45 PM Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29307. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM, at the Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Gerald Burnett. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29307.

The family is at the home of Shelby Arrington.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

I have such fond memories of working with Mae @CWS. I know she will be missed by all. My prayers are with the family.

Shelby and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I checked on your Mother with Shelby often.
You were so dedicated to your Mother and I know you will miss her very much.
