Paula, I feel like we just spoke on the phone the other day. We had a rocky relationship in High School, but once we got over it we realized how much we had in common. There are so many things I wish I could could say to you, and I wish I had been there for you more. I love you and will always miss you and pray for you and Gavin. Xoxoxo

Oh Paula. I'm just so heartbroken. Even though it has been many years since we were together, I'll never forget how much we always laughed. Life with you was full of adventure and humor. Never a dull moment with you, Paula. From the first time I met you in keyboarding class (with your little southern/northern accent) I just knew that you were someone I'd never forget. I'll always remember your energy, your quick smile, your fearlessness, and your kindness. Rest peacefully, Paula. Love and prayers to the Trimmier family and to sweet Gavin. God bless.

Paula and I became fast friends in high school 20 years ago in Virginia. I have so many stories I could tell - but I'll just mentioned two that sum it all up.

The March after she moved to NY, I drove up from VA to visit her. It was St. Patrick's day and we decided to take the train into the city to enjoy festivities. This must have been the last gasping breath of using tokens for the train, but yes - still tokens the. She told me I could just squeeze in through the turnstyle behind her and it would be ok, no need to waste the token.

Yep - like a flash, 2 NYPDs - or MTA cops, I honestly don't remember! - had little 17-year old me cuffed. She's doing her best fast talking, I'm just sort of nodding and yes-sir, no-sir. Looking back, I know now they weren't going to haul me off to jail - but I was scared! But Paula had them laughing. That was how she was, she made you smile.

Fast forward to a couple of years ago when we found each other on Facebook. She pops up on IM one day and starts complaining about boys - HA! I "listened" and told her about a similar experience I had - about a long term former boyfriend of mine. She didn't miss a beat and cracked a joke about the guy I was dating senior year of high school, and there I am, laughing out loud in my office.

You are one of a kind, Paula Jean - in the best possible way.

I also thought of Paula as a daughter. I met Paula when my son brought her home. I love her the first time I met her. I would have love to have her for a daughter in law but, she would have just been my daughter. Paula had a way that you just would fall in love with her.
I will remember our long, long talks on the phone. The time we went to Story Land. I had more fun watching Paula than my grandson. I have a lot of great memories of Paula. She live life to the fullish.
I can't believe I will not see that beautiful smile and wonderful laugh.
The world has loss a wonderful person.
May you rest in peace Paula!
Your family will be in our prayers

Paula you will be greatly miss. I will always remember the great times we had together. Our long talks on the phone. How happy you were when you found out you were going to have a baby. I didn't think you could smile any brighter but you did. Rest in Peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with Paula and her family. Paula worked with me in Portland Maine for some time . Paula had the most infectious smile, she was smart as a whip and truly lighted up a room. It was durning this time we learned she was pregnant. From the moment she learned she was going to be a mom her world became the focus of what would be her greatest accomplishment her beautiful son Gavin. Paula was the most wonderful mom and the pictures she would share of her and Gavin could only be described as the most loving mother and son relationship. My heart goes out to all of her family in South Carolina and in Maine. I have no doubt she will be terribly missed. May the presence of Gavin help to make this sad journey just alittle bit easier.
Love and hugs and prayers to all of you ~

Anyone who knew Paula will cherish their memories with her and the impact she left on their lives. She was someone whose joy was infectious and whose heart was so fragile. We laughed and cried. We supported and competed. We rode the same tumultuous wave of teenage angst and helped each other best we knew how. So many memories made for a life not nearly long enough.
My deepest condolences to Trimmier Family and all of those feeling this loss.
She is among the Wildflowers.

Paula was one of my best friends in high school at Robinson Secondary. We did everything together before both of our families moved in opposite directions. We reconnected a couple years ago and I'm so happy we did. I know she loved her baby boy so much and as well as her family. She was so happy to be reunited with all of them in Spartanburg, especially so Gavin could meet his Grandma. - Ashley & Mr. & Mrs. Trimmier, I'm so sorry for your loss and I hope you know Paula will never be forgotten. - Love Always, Shana

Paula and I, although usually well behaved, always managed to find some trouble growing up. She was my idol as a child and I would follow her anywhere. During a storm and power outage, she grabbed me with one hand and a candle with the other. We hid under a table. She stated, "Come on Ash. We'll be safe under here." I simply said, "OK". it took two, maybe three seconds for my mom to call, "children, what are you doing?" I guess the smell of my burning hair gave us away. Needless to say, we were in trouble. Paula's next idea took place in the bathroom. She grabbed me by the hand and we took off. She must have stuffed me with, at least, 20 rolls of toilet tissue, and another 10 for herself. We came out of the bathroom, puppy dog frowns and all, and said, "we sorwey." By this time, we both looked like the giant marsh mellow man from, Ghost Busters. My parents laughed so hard, they forgot out us getting in trouble.
I see much of Paula's spirit and wit in Gavin everyday. Amidst the tears, Paula's smile still shines through. We are truly blessed to have Paula as such an intricate part of our lives. She and Gavin are glorious blessings. We love them both to the core! I find peace in my sorrow knowing Paula is with our Lord, too whom she completely gave her heart and soul! With every part of my being, I love you my dear sister and am so grateful to have you in my life. I will see you again!!!!!!!!!!!! XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO
