Condolence & Memory Journal

Kathy, Laurie, Melanie, Dessa, Abbie, Brent, Diedra, Cameron and all the other grandchildren, nieces and nephews and loved ones, I am unable to attend Dorothy's service today. She was such a special lady in so many ways and she will be forever missed by her loved ones. I remember her as a smiling gentle lady. I never got to experience her rowdy side personally, but I've heard the stories and even I will miss her. Please know that I am thinking of you all.Marti Selle

Dear Cousins,
I will be thinking of all of you on the 10th as you honor your wonderful mother. She did so much to help us all, especially when we were struggling with health issues. I remember her love and attention for both Mom and Byron during there many times in Marquette Hospital.
Most of all, I remember her keen wit and sense of humor. I never knew anyone who could tell a joke like Aunt Sis! The last time I saw her was at Mom's funeral in 2005. She was struggling with her memory but was able to give us all a warm hug.
I won't be able to get up to Marquette for the memorial service but I hold you all in my heart and prayers.
Much Love,
Ellen Lord

Kathy, Brent, Dessa, Abbie and Family:
So sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom (Grandma). There are many fond memories and stories Dorothy shared about her family that she loved so much whenever I would see her. Take care and just remember there are many friends that are thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Laurie, Steve, Cam and Family
I was saddened to hear of Dorothy\"s Passing. I have many fun memories of bowling with Dorothy on Wednesday afternoon at the Windmill and later at the Westwood Lanes. Oh! her jokes were so great. Many memories of Dorothy, Clara and Mary Soli, at the golf course.
She was a great GalJayne

Kathy, Steve, Cam & Family: So sorry to hear about your mom. I have the best memories of her from the golf course over the years - she always had a smile on her face and a good joke or story to tell. When I was old enough to play in the ladies league I always looked forward to playing in her group because you just knew it was going to be a good time. Any time my mom (Jackie Specker) went out with your mom and the rest of their "riff raff club" (as they liked to call themselves) my mom came home and talked and laughed for days about everything Dorothy said or did - your mom brought so much joy everywhere she went and she will be missed.
