I believe this was a guy I dated back in the 70's. He lived in Sierra Vista, AZ at the time. We shared a lot of fun times together. When he traded his 650 Triumph for an extended fork Harley Sportster, he dumped the bike several times. I would end up with a sprained ankle, after both the bike and John landed on me. I was a petite little blonde. Thank goodness, I didn't get hurt that badly. He nicknamed me "Sunshine", because he took me for a long ride on his Harley and I would sometimes forget how easily I sunburn. By the time we got back to Sierra Vista, I was as red as a Lobster. So, he decided my nick name should be "Sunshine". He was a good guy, fun times I remember. I am sorry to hear that he has passed. RIP, John. (You were very special to me, a long time ago.)

Didn't know John very well, just from when he lived in Nichols when I moved there, he was a nice guy who seemed to live a simple life. My condolences to his family at this difficult time and my prayers are with all of you

My condolences to the family for your loss. John and I ran together when we were younger. Rode motorcycle together. I lost track of John over the years but I would hear about him occasionally. Mark Doepker and I were reminiscing a few weeks ago and Johns name came up. We had talked about trying to find him this summer.
