Tribute & Message From The Family

Myrtle Marie Gullett Preston, age 82, a resident of Lick Run Road in Chillicothe, Ohio; passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Heartland of Chillicothe in Chillicothe, Ohio after a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Preston was born May 5, 1932 in Salyersville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Amos and Lorie Wheeler Gullett. Also, proceeding in death is brother, Walter Gullett; and sisters, Berthie Blanton, Nola Montgomery.

Mrs. Preston and her husband are members of the Stenson United Baptist Church in Salyersville, Kentucky. She was a member of the United Baptist Faith for sixty-seven years. She was an employee at the local nursing home until her retirement.

Those left to mourn includes her husband of sixty-two years, Millard Preston Jr. of Chillicothe, Ohio; sons, Curtis Lee Preston and wife Darlene of Pikeville, Kentucky, Darrell E. Preston of Harlan, Kentucky; daughter, Rhonda Lynn Murray and husband Tony of Chillicothe, Ohio; brother, Archie Gullett of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren. and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services for Myrtle Marie Gullett Preston will be conducted Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Joe Carroll will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Internment will follow the service in the Brown Cemetery on Lacy in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Friday, April 3, after 5:00 PM and anytime prior to the funeral service.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky.
