Ronald Rosmond Miller, 67 of Milton, VT passed away on October 9th, 2016 after battling cancer. He was predeceased by his parents Rosmond C. Miller and Mildred (LaFlam) Miller. He was born on October 21st 1948 and grew up in Shelburne graduating from CVU in 1967. He initially worked with his father at Yandow's Pontiac dealership as a mechanic. He later discovered a new career working as a truck driver for Merrill's Transport and after many dedicated years he retired from Champlain Oil in 2013 and was known by all as "Rocker". Ron was a jack of all trades, from building a home for his family in Charlotte, to fixing family and friend's cars and always had a project or two that he was working on. He loved his children and grandchildren and the time he spent with them. He also enjoyed many outdoor adventures; camping, boating and hunting, his greatest love was going with family and friends to auto races, where he enjoyed watching his younger brother race. He is survived by his three children, Sherry Cushing and her husband James of Fletcher, Jodi Blaine and her husband Shawn of Williston, Eric Miller and his wife Melissa of Milton, along with his former spouse Jacqueline (LaCroix) Capponi; grandchildren, Shelby Cushing, Morgan and Madison Blaine, Peyton, Colbie and Brennan Miller; sister Deborah (Miller) Colomb and her husband Matthew of Vancouver Island B.C., brother Steven Miller of Vergennes, best friend Gary Moulton and his wife Sandy and close friends, Bernadette Murray and Ann McMann, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on October 13, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd. Burlington, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Catherine Church, 72 Church St., Shelburne, VT. Burial will follow at Resurrection Park Cemetery in South Burlington.
