Growing up Blanche was someone who made me smile! She knew how to enjoy life and I marveled at all the beautiful dresses she wore when she went dancing. One of my fondest memories was at my dad's bakery shop. One Saturday ,Kenny, her soon to be husband, took me and Nancy aside and showed us an engagement ring. He swore us to secrecy and asked us to "get lost". Of course we both went outside but hid by the door trying to listen. Before too long they both called us in. They had huge smiles on their faces. Thus began a happy, long, shared life.
I am sure when you think of your mom, Charleen, you will do so with a smile. These last few years have been difficult, but you have been a wonderful daughter. God Bless!

Dear Charleen -- You are in our thoughts and prayers over the passing of your mother. She was a great lady -- always working hard for you and anyone in her family. She loved walking everywhere especially when she lived in the South End and worked at Steiger's. She will be deeply missed -- by cousin Angelina Leone and goddaughter Lynn Anne Leone from Wilbraham.
