Condolence & Memory Journal

Heartfelt sympathies to the Brennan family from the Baynes family. Phil and my mother shared so much during their commute to Williamson in their early days of teaching - now they can continue their stories! As the family's babysitter and a neighbor I saw Mr. Brennan in a different role and it, too, was impressive. Mr. Brennan instilled such an appreciation for math in so many and especially in those of us privileged to have him as our teacher. We learned more than just math in his classroom - discipline, respect, organization, timeliness, and dry humor. He will be missed, but always remembered.

Mr Brennan was an incredible teacher. Mr Correll was right. He could teach students to go beyond what they envisioned they were capable of. He made math teachers ........... I wonder how many. His students often became fearless of math. I saw it when I was in his class. When I was there, he had no, I mean no, class management issues ...... there was too much respect in the room. He also taught you the value of process and careful scrutiny of your work.

Loved Mr. Brennan as a math teacher and Mrs. Brennan as an art teacher. They were also wonderful neighbors and customers. Dawn Burke Wittman

One assumes that he will receive many accolades and the family will receive many condolences. Each would be deserved; a wonderful man; a GREAT math teacher, and likely a cherished husband and father.

May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the Brennan family. Mr. Brennan was my high school math teacher. I remember him as being unflappable and unfailingly kind to everyone...not always an easy thing with teenagers. God bless him on his journey to the light. May you find comfort in many warm memories.

Mr. Brennan was a great guy and teacher. He treated all of us with respect and kindness....even when math wasn't easy for me. I remember that he was mowing his mom's yard just a few years ago when I saw him. Seems like he never slowed down. He will be missed. I will remember him as one of the great ones.RIP
