Condolence & Memory Journal

Oh Kathleen and David... We learned just today.
There are no words. That we are sorry is not enough -- tho' we are so very heartbroken at his loss. The fog is thick. We pray that healing will come soon; that by grace and the power of your prayer and many others the Lord will comfort you beyond measure or comprehension.

You will all be on on our minds and hearts.

Love from Geralyn and David Ashburn

Sending you and your family my heartfelt sympathy on the loss of your son, grandson, and brother. There are no words that can comfort you but try to hold his memory as a blessing and treasure you shared in for 28 years. He had wonderful friends and family and from what I have learned enjoyed G-d's kingdom with many adventures. I am so sorry his time on this earth came so soon and unexpectedly.

In a town not really known for its inclusiveness, the time Chris and Ginger were friends at Maclay will always give us hope and set the example that this community will continue to strive for peace and harmony.

Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache; but those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind. May you find strength in the love of family; the warm embrace of friends; and the loving promises of Almighty God, that there is a hope in seeing your loved one again.

Mr. And Mrs. Smith

I'm so sorry. I have wonderful memories from a kid when Christopher and I would be in the same cabin at camp Weed and in Sunday school together.

Great times in Troop 109. Eagle Scout is forever.

Twas the Eagle they chose, as a symbol of strength for a new and mighty land.
That was forged in Truth, and Liberty; delivered
By God's own hand.
That Eagle stands for Integrity and Pride
Throughout our age.
To remind us of the wars we've fought for
Freedom and the price we've paid.
And so it was when Lord Powell called on his troop
Of boys to be men,
That this symbol so strong, so pure and so proud
Was called to serve again.
Not every Scout can wear this badge, in fact they
Are but few
Who rise above their peers today to remind us of
What is true.
That Loyalty and being good will always be our aim,
That Courage and Faith are the best of us, that
The Eagle knows no shame.
These honored few who wear this badge walk
Among us to this day.
To exemplify the very best that we strive for,
So now we pray;
That God will bless and keep these Scouts always
In His sight.
For it is they, not us who know it best, the Eagle
Stands for Right.

David. I did not know your son, however I am truest sorry for your loss. I know it must be the hardest thing u ever have to do is to lose a child. I watched my parents when my brother Paul died. I hope the following will help give u peace:
As long as he is talked about often, then he is not forgotten. As long as he is not forgotten, he is not really gone. So speak of him often.

Words cannot even begin to express how much my heart hurts for the family and India. Chris was always so sweet and caring. Never a dull moment in class when he was around. Every time I had to take my daughter to class, Chris would try to make her smile, and he would always successfully make her laugh and smile. He always had the most comforting hugs, and whenever he thought someone was sad he would always offer a big hug and someone to talk to. Chris would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need. I truly am saddened by his passing. Heaven gained a precious angel! We will always love and remember you Chris!

Kathleen and David, our hearts go out to you in this sad time. You are in our prayers and we are here if you need anything. I will always remember Christopher as a sweet, rambunctious 7th grade boy. He was always polite and he had the best hugs. Peace be with you both and with Michael.
