I worked with Charlie in the 70's and 80's at Southern Railway (now Norfolk Southern) at 99 Spring Street, and at Sawtell Ramp in Southeast Atlanta. He was my boss from 1973-1975 and was a great man. So sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to Barbara and all the family.

I will forever be grateful to Charlie for taking my mother in both of their 2nd marriages, and making her happy beyond description. They were a loving couple, meant for each other in the eyes of the Lord. My mother deserved the happiness that Charlie gave to her, at a later stage in their lives. I am sorrowful at Charlie's passing, but happy in knowing that he is now with The Lord, and in no more pain. His life of 92 years should be celebrated, in that he touched so many lives. He left his mark of a sweet, gentle, humorous, generous, and loving individual that never failed to brighten a room he entered. Rest in Peace, Charlie, we all love you.
