I'm very saddened to hear the news of John's passing. He was a very dear friend of mine. He was a boss of mine at one time and a person that I highly respected. He was known for being tough and fair. He kept me in line as a young man and expected the best out of his employees. We will all miss him. From all of us at Dukas, we give our thoughts and prayers to the Onan family.

Bob and Family,
I think John was the most genuine, down-to-earth, tell-it-like-it-is person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I need only look around my house to be fondly reminded of John by the many repairs & fixes he took care of for me. There was nothing that man couldn't fix! May he Rest in Peace. My thoughts are with you and the rest of your family.

John and my Dad were best friends from an early age. Our families grew up together. They were Godparents to my younger brother. John, Eloise and my parents would get together often. After John lost Eloise he made sure he continued to see my parents. Always sharing life's lessons on never giving up. I am so grateful I knew this great man. We lost a treasure.
John, you and Dad will have Heaven shaking with laughter.
With love, Tanya

I have known John for 30+ years. He was my neighbor. I always loved talking to him, listening to his stories and jokes. He was always watching out for everyone in the neighborhood and vice versa. I always enjoyed seeing him in the morning on my way to work when he was returning home from his breakfast. When he came around the corner he always stopped and we talked. I am truly going to miss his smile, kind heartedness and friendship. R.I.P my dear friend.

Dearest Cindy. First of all I want to extend my sympathies and promises of our prayers and thought to you Cindy and Bob and your entire family. In my thought and prayers I remember John as one of a kind. He is a very special guy. He was unique in this age of darkness. I enjoyed his humor - out look on life - and his down to earth lifestyle. I will miss him a good deal. There was a healthy humility about John that I admired. Cindy you were so good to him. We are all - friends and family alike - sorry for your loss. Please extend our prayers and sympathies to your dear brother Bob and Amy and uncles Tom Jim Jerry and their families. God willing I will have the opportunity to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass today Sunday and we will certainly remember you - along with you family and friends in our prayers. May he Rest In Peace. Fr. Terry
