Condolence & Memory Journal

Dear Joyce and Debenack Family,

I just learned of Dave's passing. I'm so sorry for your loss, I had the opportunity to talk with Dave at my Dad's wake in March, he rolled right on up and asked me if I knew who he was and all I had to do was take one look into his eyes and I knew who he was right away ~ he always had the kindest brightest eyes. Always that twinkle!! The stories my dad would share of the great times they had, I'm sure they're right back at it in Heaven.

Hugs to you all,

Amy Merkel Michalec

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry we couldn't make it to the service as we were out of town. Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Your Dad was a very nice man.

Dave was a class act. The world was certainly a better place with him in it.

I have a lot of great memories of our hunting trips from the days we had a leaky pop up trailer to our mouse ridden camper trailer! Also a few fishing trips on lake Winnebago chasing Walleye's with his good friend Jim (my father-in-law). We had missed him at camp these past years but he left us with fond memories and a positive outlook! Always a joy to be around! We were privileged to have him in our lives.

My Dad was a great cook, his specialty was spaghetti sauce, pickles and banana peppers. He could walk into a grocery store and not know a soul and walk out everybody's friend. That's the way he was. I will miss him dearly.

Dave was great to be around and always had a smile on his face when he came up hunting! I will miss him.
