Candle

Remembering a year ago, tomorrow, the day that still hurts my heart so much as my mother had a second, traumatic stroke which ultimately took her life. This, after she had worked so hard to recover from the first stroke! Sometimes life is just not fair.

We still miss her so much! But I talk to her regularly too, though of course I only get the wind whistling/rustling as an answer.

Thank you for your messages. Today, the day of her funeral, we, particularly her kids, are saddened deeply but then somewhat buoyed by comments and stories from people who knew. These messages and stories are so very heartwarming. Thank you.

Have such fond memories of the MCasey family when visiting Aunt Doris and Uncle Jim, as a child. I remember Elsie as a very kind lady and even though we weren't related by blood, always thought that we were somehow family. My deepest condolences to the family.
