What a privilege for this old Portsmouth sports fan to interview Howard Ramey Thank ex-mayor Frank Gerlach for leading me to interview Dennis Ramey, Howard's son, the lawyer-beloved, retired Executive director of the Ohio State Bar Association. Dennis accompanied me to Portsmouth in 2013 to interview his dad. Many Portsmouth fans watched Howard catch for the Ramey Feed baseball team and I occasionally talked with Howard when he helped his brother, Dennis Ramey in the New Boston Pharmacy. He was also a WW II hero in the Air Force and remained a kid-loving well -decorated hero for America. His grandson, Brian, quarterbacked the Ohio State Championship Upper Arlington undefeated football team. Howard had an outstanding lineage. Portsmouth must be proud of the Ramey. I thank God for these wonderful acquaintances.
