I came to work at Robins AFB on March 19,1979. Nelson had came to work in the same office the week before I came. Nelson was the first person I met in the office. He always had a easy going personality and a fun person to be around. Nelson is the reason we were able to get more engineers from HBCU schools. Nelson always reminded me that we had to set a good example by been the first engineers from HBCU schools.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I came to work on Robins AFB on March 19,1979. Nelson had came to work in the same office the previous week. He would come by my desk to check on me and always giving this young engineer advice on work and life. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Nelson was like the father of the incoming engineers from HBUs back in the early 80s. He and his wife Mildred welcomed us into their home and kept us from being home sick with warm greetings and loving affections. Nelson will be greatly missed and will always be in our hearts for the gentleness of this humble giant in our eyes back in the 80s and to the end of his journey on this side of life. Rest Nelson you will always be remembered. Love and blessing to you Mildred, kids, family and other friends. Henry and Lisa Thomas, Warner Robins GA
