Condolence & Memory Journal

Patti, Bobbi and family I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Ms. Jane! She was a fine lady! I stopped in to say hello about 3 weeks ago and she was sleeping. Her and my Mother in law were friends at Central and at the nursing home. I met Ms. Jane when I married my husband 46 years ago. I remember when we saw her the first time at The Oaks and she called both of us by our names and it had been many many years since we had seen her. When my hubby passed in Feb. she saw me in the hallway at the Oaks visiting Mom and told me how sorry she was to hear about him passing. Same when Mom passed 2 months later! Sweetest lady ever! God Bless you all!

The Family of Jane Sloan: Jane Sloan was an important part of the Chaplaincy Department at Central Louisiana State Hospital for many years. Her dedication to the ministry to the patients made the department an important part of the treatment program of the entire hospital. Her assistance to the Chaplains was very much appreciated by all who knew her. She
was loved by the Hospital Staff, Patients and all those for whom she made lives more meaningful.

Russell, so sorry for your loss. I never met your mom, but I know she was a fine lady because she raised a fine son.
