Condolence & Memory Journal

Father George was my father's nephew--my cousin. He stayed with my family when he was in the seminary and we visited off and on through the years. (We lived in Michigan.) He wrote to me frequently, but when we both had computers, we exchanged frequent e-mails. I treasured our correspondence which always ended with a request for and promise of prayers and with "God bless you." I will miss him very much but am comforted by the thought that he is in heaven. Goodbye, Father George.

I knew Father Simon for my entire life. He was pastor at Assumption in Franklin, Louisiana for many years and on 2 separate occasions. He was such a close friend that mother and I even visited him even when he was pastor at other churches in the area. He often said masses in french on special occasions and Im glad I got to witness that. Last year I sat with him and we had a very nice visit, he spoke so well and his memory was sharp. Reste en paix mon père, tu étais tellement bonhomme ...
