Condolence & Memory Journal

So sad to hear of Sara's passing. She and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Maggie, Leo and Leo ,

I am so sorry to know that you have lost your beloved mother and wife. Never will I forget the first time that I saw her at Boston College...I thought there is a true Irish beauty. As time went on I knew that her beauty was matched by internal beauty and a fierce love of family that as I am sure you know is a rare and precious gift.

Please accept my sincere and deep condolences. Sara was so kind and generous to me and she made the world better.

I loved her.

My heart and prayers go out to all of Sara's family. Sara and I met while attending St Thomas the Apostle school. She was truly a warm and super friendly soul who was a friend to all. I remember how fashionable she was. Always in the newest styles. She was the first to wear the Maxi skirt, bell bottoms, and mod everything. Her Mom loved to volunteer at school and was influential in getting my sister a scholarship to the Mount St Joseph high school. We were always welcomed on Bishop's road. I also remember going on a field trip to her Dad's manufacturing business. Everyone in our class thought that was very cool. The memories I have of our childhood are filled with laughter, silliness and great fun! Even though attending different high schools put us on a different path, Sara's friendship will always be dear to my heart. ❤

To the Grady and Corcoran Family.

Sara was a very lovely person. She always had a smile on her face and everyone liked her energy, radiance and kindness. It is much too young. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Grady and Corcoran families some of which I know and some not: I just learned of this and am so deeply sad and sorrowful for your loss. I attended St. Thomas the Apostle with Sara and always considered her a good friend. When I think of my time at St. Thomas I think of her. I last saw her at an STA reunion which has to be close to 20 years ago. Though up to that point we had not seen each other since we were in high school, she was very gracious, with radiant smile as always, with a ready wit and laugh; it was as though no time had passed at all, same Sara I always knew literally since the first grade. It can be said that the people one meets and bonds with at a young age will always stay with you, as you really know the essence of the person and the friendship is timeless. I'll always remember her having the most convenient short walk to school from just across the street from Bishop Road and her reminding me of that on a regular basis, among other things. She did like the ice cream at the close by Howard Johnson's restaurant and let me know that as well. Despite time passed and the divergent roads that life takes people on, Sara is such a person and spirit who I am sure stayed with many of her friends and acquaintances, like she has with me, literally forever. She was simply a magnetic person who yet never called attention to herself, she didn't have to. it was a natural thing. This came as such a shock for me, I know how hard it must be for all of you. There are no words to express the depth of your loss, the infinite unfairness, and I am so sorry that all of you had to endure what no one should ever have to endure. I am sure she would want you all to be well, and stay well, my heart is with you all.

Dear Leo, Maggie and Leo, and family,
We were so sad to learn of Sara's passing. Sara was beautiful in every way, most especially the way she treated everyone with kindness and respect. I remember how friendly she was when our family became a part of the St. Sebastian community, how welcome she made us feel and how it was always fun to spend time together. Kind words are small comfort at a time of such profound loss, but we want you to know you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We trust the love and support of your wonderful family and friends will support you as you grieve your loss and help you begin to heal.
