Dear Lisa and Family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to high school and college with Bill. He was a total class act. I don't know many people who handled adversity better. His passion for sailing infected the rest of us. May he Rest In Peace.

Kristen, I am so sorry. I have many fond memories of your dad when we were in high school together but mostly as your daddy when he and I would make plans for you and Melissa to play and attend birthday parties together. I know you have many treasured memories and hopefully they will get you through this very difficult time. Hugs to you honey.

Bill,
You fought a hard battle that doesn't always mean we will win. But, you are at peace now and only have to sail away in the Heavens. Godspeed, my friend. Bill DeHaan
