Meme as the grandkids called her was always a very sweet woman as I remember her. She always liked cooking and doing things for us and looooved the holidays. I didn't get to spend as much time with her as I would've hoped but the time I did get to will be cherished.

You will be greatly missed my dear friend. I think of you often. I will miss our many talks about many things, your infectious laugh and our sharing a bottle (or two) of wine. So very glad that we met and shared many happy times together. Don't know if I can go to the Hard Rock without you. You were a very special lady and friend. I will cherish your memory.

I have nothing but fond memories of my sister in law (sister to me) Joyce. I don't think I ever seen her mad more that a minute. She was a special soul, one who always made you feel important. She never put herself above others and she always made you feel important. I think back of the times my wife and me lived with Henry and Joyce, while I was in college. She opened her heart to us, she was so very much a part of our lives. I was able to talk to Joyce when I would call and she was always down to earth. I just know that she is now in heaven with my wife. I will forever miss her and and all the love she gave to others. A true angel. Peace be with you.....

Joyce will be missed. She was a very special person. She made you always feel important, never spoke bad of you and was very down to earth. She opened her house to my wife and me when I was going to college. I never saw her mad, she had a great personality and was always a quick to compliment you. I had the great opportunity to be her best man at her and my brothers wedding. I am sure I was visibly nervous, but was so happy for Joyce and Henry, as he was one very lucky man. I will miss the talks I had with her, especially near the end - she is now in heaven with with wife. Peace be with you Joyce - with my love and fondest memories.

Hello, Joyce,
I never had the pleasure of meeting, but I am a friend of Hank, and I have an Angel in Heaven (my spouse Portia). Please look her up, and I am certain she will show you around, and introduce you to the Boss. While you are it, tell her I love her and miss her very much. Then maybe the two of you can get things ready for the arrival of Hank and I. Bless you both.

My mom. It's so bittersweet to sit here and write this. Partly smiling with memories and partly tearing up with the knowledge that she's gone.

But, here's to my mom. Let me introduce you to her some, as much as I can describe her.

She's mom in every sense of the word. From baking cookies to playing games, reading stories (Little Red Riding Hood about a thousand times. You know after hearing it just a few you are about insane but she read it over and over for me as it was my favorite). She would bandage my "boo boos" and comfort me when I was sick like only mom can (no offense to dad). I could talk to her about everything.

She didn't yell and scream at me when I messed up. Like the time she came upstairs, opened my door and found the room covered in powder. (well, I had discovered that when I set down the powder, it poofed like a powder volcano, which was cool. So I Poofed the hell out of that powder. Not trying to make a mess and not even noticing that it was, just a kid thing to do.)

My mom was kooky, must be where I get it, and fun. She would dance the Can-Can with her sisters, play practical jokes, laugh til she teared up while playing the old ET or Joust and just enjoyed life. She got a kick out of Animal Crossing too, I loved to hear her laugh when we played.

And oh boy did she have some stories to tell about her and her sisters and their mishaps. One that comes to mind was when they were teens and my grandfather was asleep on the couch taking a nap. They took the opportunity to put his leg hairs in bobby pins. lol.

Mom was my best friend. She was beautiful, witty, smart, creative, a great cook, fun and fun-loving, and just a great woman.

Mom:

"Did you ever know that you're my hero, and everything I would like to be? I can fly higher than an eagle, 'cause you are the wind beneath my wings." ~Wind Beneath My Wings

I love you so much. Forever.

Your Daughter,

Punkin
