I miss Rita already. As a colleague and as a friend, she enlivened me. I'll always be grateful for the sojourn we shared in majestic South Africa, where our biracial women's group explored race and gender. She enriched that experience and all that we shared.

Our prayers and condolences goes out to the family, friends of Rita Henley Jensen. Rita was a true pioneer in her own right. Because she fought to bring women's issue to the fore front in the media and etc. She made people listen and take note. Cherish her legacy and her many wonderful memories that you shared with your loved one. May Almighty God give you strength, courage, but most of all peace in the difficult days ahead. Rita was an inspiration and a friend. I will never forget our post-JAWS trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion National Park. It was too much fun.

Rita always saw more in me than I saw in myself. I always wanted to live up to the goals that she set for me.

Once Rita asked me why I always wore a baseball cap during the JAWS conference weekend. She said I was too pretty to hide myself under a cap. I stopped wearing baseball caps during the weekend retreats.

Rita was, will always be, one of my heroines.

I am so sad to learn the news of Rita's passing and my thoughts are with her entire family. I was lucky enough to be an intern at Women's eNews in 2015. My experience was extremely informative as a journalist and person-it was a truly unique experience working with everyone included Rita. She was a very strong women, firm in her beliefs and the rights of women and girls. And as result of working with Rita and the women of Women's eNews I am a better person, feminist and journalist and I will always be greatful to Rita for that.

What an amazing woman! I really enjoyed reading about her passion for being the voice of women. As a survivor of domestic violence myself, I really appreciate how she spoke out about it.
I know that she will be dearly missed by all those who love her. I pray that her family gets through this difficult time and know that the prayers of many around the world are with them.
Please know that God above understands and feels your pain. He too grieves the loss of your loved one.(Ezekiel 18:32) He promises to soon give you the joy of being reunited with your mom to live forever on His new paradise earth. (John 6:40;Ac24:15; Psalms 39:29)
