Condolence & Memory Journal

I'm so sorry to read of Clayton's passing. I was one of his many penpals for several years. He wrote to me after seeing my name in "Good Old Days" magazine because I live in Lehighton. My childhood home was just a few blocks from his grandparents' on Alum St. At his request and with the help of one of my cousins I located their graves in the cemetery near their home. I took pictures of them and also their home and sent them to him. I had the pleasure of meeting Clayton about 1 1/2 years ago. He was an interesting and delightful gentleman and I'm honored to have made his acquaintance. Barbara Jean Hunsicker, Lehighton, PA.

Our families spent fun fill vacations at Saylor's Lake. The stories have been retold many times over the years. Clayton always kept an eye on his three daughters and me so no harm came to us. RIP

Clayton was a great guy. I was the Postmaster of Hereford after Clay. I remember working with him at the Lehigh Valley Post Office. After his retirement I took my Lawnmover over to his house. Clay was a guy who could do anything. He loved his family . RIP Clayton
