Condolence & Memory Journal

Joan was full of life and a great influence on lives. She loved going, seeing and doing many, many things here in the Keys. She was a dear friend and will be missed. It is a blessing to know that she is with her Heavenly Father and rejoicing with all those who passed before.
We will all meet again. Love you, Joan.

I think I got to know Joan better after graduation than during our high school years. After that our first contacts were at class reunions. As in many things, she was one of the leaders.

After the usual assortment of starts and stops we ended up in the same profession...school counseling. My sense is that she was pretty good this sort of thing. She changed young peoples
lives and probably saved a few of them; I'm sure that a number of 'now adults" live better lives as a result of her efforts. That is a rare and special gift and one not all are capable of giving.
