Condolence & Memory Journal

My deepest condolences to the family. Dr Ersing was one of the most genuine people I ever met. I was able to get to know him during the time I worked at Nisonger Center (1983-2011), and so admired his work ethic and caring fun-loving personality. Such a wonderful influence to so many students and co-workers over the years. He provided so many of us with wonderful lasting memories. He will be greatly missed. Prayers of support to the family

The Ersing Family,

I have so many fond memories of Walter. He was so very fond of each of you and your children. I loved so very much hearing about all the Ersings in his Christmas card each year. Walters love for Maryalyce was evident in each correspondence we had over the years. I also know of his deep faith in God and his looking forward to joining him.

Your dad was a special human being. Always kind, supportive, and loving. I am a better person having known your dad. He had a profound impact on my professional and personal life. I will always hold him and the Ersing Family in a special place in my heart.

In our last conversation he shared with me
his love of family and his readiness for a final peace.

Please know the love that Ann and I have for you Maryalyce and all the Ersing family. May God to continue to bless you all.

Steve, I just wanted to express my condolences to you and your family on the loss of your Dad. I know he instilled your passion for soccer in high school, and that will be a gift you can always treasure. My best to you always.

Dear Maryalyce,

My heartfelt condolences to you and your family on Walter's
passing. He was admired by everyone and was a great class leader. His achievements at Commerce were many, as well as in all the years that followed. He was a fine young man, and it was my pleasure to know him.

To the Ersing Family
I read with a sad heart that Walter passed away. My friends and I met Walter at the Ohio State Fair Grounds on a hot Saturday afternoon in July 2016 at a car show. He had driven a nice looking 65 Ford Galaxy onto the grounds and parked next to us. It didn't take long before we and Walter found ourselves together to while away the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he was raised in Springfield. I told him I grew up in Holyoke. We shared a story or two about Western Mass and attending parochial school but his telling was unique. He was engaging, interesting and an all-around great man. He sent us follow up cards to say how much he had enjoyed his time that day. Walter's memory will remain with us forever.
Sincerely,
