Emma Chambers was the consummate comedic actress and an absolute delight. I had just very recently introduced my gentleman friend to the rolllicking madness and hilarity of The Vicar of Dibley series, and he fell in love with her, as I had many years earlier. Of course I never knew Emma except from "The Vicar of Dibley", but her portrayal of Alice Tinker was so convincingly sweet and fragile that I fell in love with her. To learn that she has died, and died so young, truly hurts. I know she was not Alice Tinker, but it is a tribute to her, and a joy to me, that she was able to convince me that she was. We are all the better to have experienced her portrayals, and will all suffer having lost her. God be with you, Emma Chambers, and God be with her Alice Tinker, too.
