Alan was truly a one of a kind person and a someone we will all miss dearly. He was such an encourager. He always saw the best in people. He loved life! He was one of those rare people that wanted to see everyone succeed, not just in his words, but in his actions. He changed my world in so many wonderful ways and I'm so proud that I can call him my friend. Love you my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Alan's passing. I remember so many good times in Stavanger playing soccer, basketball, skiing... Always a smile, not a cruel bone in his body - just an all round good person. Look forward to catching up one day. CS Lewis said "Christians never say goodbye" and I believe that. My condolences to his family.
