Condolence & Memory Journal

Arny was a constant force for reason and science in a hobby rife with superstition and dubious products. He was the consummate 'white hat'. He surely helped hundreds, maybe thousands of people over the years avoid being scammed. He will be missed.

Candle

You made a difference in the world of consumer audio by popularizing the ABX concept debunking the myths around audio. RIP

We never agreed when we discussed audio on the news group rec.audio.high-end about anything other than interconnects, and he was a ruthless and relentless opponent there. Still, I am saddened by his passing - especially so young (yeah, 71 is young in this day and age). My condolences to his friends and family. The audio world will miss him.

Arnold was a cheerful person who had a fine scientific mind. At all times when it was my pleasure to be in his presence, I always felt that he was my kind of special. bright, intelligent, person. My blessings to his family.

Condolences and respect from London, England, from another member of HydrogenAudio community.

Arny freely shared his knowlege, which was deep and detailed. He was a voice of truth in a branch of technology so fraught with myth. I treasure our interactions, appreciated his efforts and work, and his contributions to the audio community.

My sincere condolences to the family.

You'll be missed over at HydrogenAudio for sure.

My deepest condolences to Arny's family.

I came to know Arny only very recently through the field of audio, about which he was very passionate and equally knowledgeable. A fountain of knowledge, he destroyed many myths I'd accumulated over the years about audio and replaced them with facts. I greatly admire people I can learn from; I believe a day when you don't learn something is a bad day and I always had a good day when I read one of his posts.

The world and the on line audio community has lost a great friend and a great teacher. He will be greatly missed by many.

I want to begin by offering my heart felt condolences to Arny's family. As a member of an on-line audio forum where Arny was so highly regarded, I can tell you his passing reverberates throughout its thousands of members. Due to the depth of his knowledge, and willingness to help others, Arny was no doubt its de-facto leader. Although not having the honor of meeting Arny, I came to know him well enough that I respected him in ways, I rarely am able to respect others. Arny's knowledge seemed encyclopedic to me, as demonstrated by the diversity of subject matter to be found in his many posts. Regardless the subject matter, I always waited anxiously to read Arny's next post. And when it came to his writing, Arny was a wordsmith!

Once again, please accept my condolences. Legion are those who share in your loss.

Very Sincerely Yours,

David Bingham

Arny was a member of many audiophile groups. He and I had a rough start in our online relationship mostly because of my ignorance. I grew to appreciate him and admire his knowledge and passion for truth and audio. I cannot begin to express how much I grew as an audiophile because of our relationship. He will be missed and I will cherish the conversations we had. Go swiftly and sweetly Arny. My you find the holy grail of audio wherever you are.

I never knew Arny in person. I knew Arny through Facebook and other social media venues. Arny was an amazing person, always will to help any stranger he encountered that wanted help with sound and audio. He has redefined the label "audiophile". Arny taught me a lot about the science of audio reproduction. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. His videos, posts, ideas and even his passive aggressive sarcastic ways of telling someone they're wrong will never fade.

My greatest condolences to all of his friends and family.
