Condolence & Memory Journal

I met her in Hamilton ON when she was making Black Roses. We sat together between takes and she was a lovely person. She was asking me about myself and my "career" as a journalist, and made me feel she was sincerely interested. I really liked her as a person and send my deepest and most sincere condolences to her family. She was a beautiful lady, both inside and out.

First movie I saw her in was "The Creature from the Black Lagoon". Wonderful performance and a beautiful women! While we never personally met, she strikes me as a warm and friendly type. THANK YOU for the great performance, as you will live in many of our hearts forever! :)

One of the greatest pains in my life is "losing" actors & actresses so beautifullu etched in memory, via physical beauty, strength of personality, life-style and the pleasure and joy of being touched, perhaps moved. Most of the pain stems from never knowing/meeting thus never apprising them how very, very much they meant to a youngster but always remaining vibrant & ALIVE in my mind + emotions.

Ms Adams was 1 of the very 1st actresses with whom - forgive me - I fell in "love". As a Sci-Fi addict, from first causes, she personified rising to her art, in the socially stringent way for a woman, yet always suffused her parts with dynamism and believability.

I saw her in a vehicle wherein she had to feign lousy acting, doing so with inestimable talent.

When I saw her on MURDER... I almost fell off my seat. Here was one of my original, most favorite, most beloved actresses, so alive and functioning and showing her inner stength-of-personality. And, reverting back to my youth, she looked as beautiful, to me, as The Creature's Julie.

I will always remember Julia Adams; but I fear the future will force, on me, the pain of missing her.

Heartfelt condolences to Ms. Adamss friends, and family. I grew up watching 70s television, this is where I first noticed this lovely actress. I remember her as Julie Barnes mom on The Mod Squad , I remember seeing her in other popular shows such as, Medical Center, The Andy Griffin Show, the appearances that she made was endless. Although she really wasnt a household name, she was in our house. As soon as I saw her I knew who she was. Her quiet and dignified manner was present in every role she did. I had just seen Julie in a very old "Bonanza" program and thought how very beautiful she was! She was stunning! She was a love-interest of, Hoss, one of Ben Cartwright's sons. They were so cute together in the show.

Julie was my first love. I envied the "Gillman". With the help of a classmate of hers, I was in contact with her for a few years. Actually meeting her was high on my bucket list and not being able to fulfill that desire will be an eternal disappointment. Rest in peace, beautiful and charming lady.
