Condolence & Memory Journal

Bruce and his brother James were scout leaders for Troop 68 sponsored by the Murray Hill Presbyterian Church during the 1950's. Together these leaders help mold scouting values into many scouts of all ages. Camping was one of the favorite activities of the troop and it was always a special treat to have James and Bruces' dad, Mr. Yongue join us for the weekend. Bruce was one of the hardest workers at Murray Hill Presbyterian and much of his handiwork is still seen by many.

We have so many find memories of Bruce. He was always ready to help anyone. He was one of the men at church that could repair most issues. He was a great hugger and loved by all. Now he's back with Julia, the love of his life.

Bruce and Julia used to pick me up and take me to work in the 70's, for years. Julia and I worked at the same office back then. They are what you would call the "salt of the earth". So pure, kind, helpful, loving. Bruce doted on Julia as if she were still a teenager. He was an amazing man. They raised a great family, 3 children; I had the pleasure of hearing cute stories about them and actually meeting them. Bruce, you will now be with Julia, the love of your life. We will miss you. The world was a better place with you (and Julia) in it, but you were blessed with a long, wonderful life - you certainly deserved it. Rest in Peace, Bruce, and thank you for all you have done for me.
